Goats are not generally sold for human consumption but they are often kept as pets. Some goats are kept for milk production, and are kept in goat farms. These farms sell their milk, and also provide a goat feeding experience for the public.
One of these goat farms is called Hay Dairies. Its milk is available for sale at RedMart, and can also be ordered online. The dairy also offers educational farm tours.
Goats at Hay Dairies are fed Alfalfa Hay, which is grown in the United States. This hay has a high protein content and is free from GMO.
Goats are normally separated by gender at one month of age. They are then placed into a nursery where they are given colostrum within two hours of birth. They are then dried and cleaned. Within a few months, they are put into their own nursery, where they are fed with a hand for a couple of months.
Water Venture (Sembawang)
Sembawang Water Venture is an understated but noteworthy locale in the Northern part of Singapore. If you’re an enthusiast of the sea, this spot should be at the top of your must do list. Not only is it a fun place to kayak, it offers a spectacular view of the Johor straits.
